Lynn Martz participated in the July Mastermind teleconference last week. I recently attended the Rockford Chamber Breakfast Buzz on May 12th. The featured speaker was Brent Brodeski with Savant Capital Management, “Outlook for the Economy and Markets in 2010 and Beyond”. According the JP Morgan Asset Management, the recession officially began in December, 2007 and lasted approximately 22 months – the longest since the Great Depression, ending in the 3rd quarter of 2009.

Avneesh Nigam, managing partner at Perryville Business Centers is attending a seminar today, May 20. The guest speaker is Jan Blaho, International Finance Specialist from the Export/Import Bank and the topic being discussed is Export Financing Options. The seminar is being held at the Woodward Tech Center at Rock Valley College, in Rockford, IL from 8:30am to 11:00am. This seminar was put together by the College of DuPage and the Illinois Small Business Development Center.

On Wednesday, April 21st, Perryville Business Centers hosted a CEO Circle Luncheon. This was an opportunity for members of the business center to gather, eat good food, and learn from each others’ diverse professional expertise.
We were pleased to see so many members come participate in our discussion. Members who attended include College Funding Professionals, Belles Firm of Architecture, University of Phoenix, Summit Real Estate Developments, and Kohn Group LTD. It was an educational and beneficial conversation for everyone involved.

Lynn Martz, center manager, and a committee of 7 business owners and office managers of other office business centers in the region recently took part in their monthly "mastermind" teleconference to discuss “Getting the Prospect to Sign on the Dotted Line”.
This group of individuals meet on a monthly basis to offer their “Best Practice” to a situation; share success stories, request input from the group on a particular issue they have encountered and state a commitment each will accomplish by the next teleconference.

Center Manager Participates in Mastermind Group

Perryville Business Center’s office manager, Lynn Martz, participates as a member of a regional mastermind group. Members of the group are 7 center mangers or owners from NC, MO, GA, TN, MN, FL and IL. The group meets monthly via teleconference.
The focus of the group is to share current challenges for the business center industry. This allows the group to offer and received specific feedback, ideas and to learn best practices. Each meeting has a specific focus, such as cutting-edge technology, trends in the market, incentive place, website reviews, social media marketing, etc.
